Beach Volleyball is a great way to spend the summer of 2008 with thousands of people playing every night of the week at Montrose, North Ave., and Oak St. Beaches. The CSSC Beach Volleyball Leagues are the World's Largest with over 20,000 players and over 1200 teams! If you're playing in the leagues you're playing in a Chicago institution, if you're not, now is the time to get in the game! Also, check back for upcoming information about our annual Volleywood Beach Volleyball Tournament!

Locations: North Avenue Beach, Montrose Beach, and Oak Street Beach
Fees: $200 -$525 per team
$95 -$100 individually
$3.50 processing fee
Fee Includes: Seven matches of regular season play followed by single elimination playoffs for qualifying teams, one Fruit of the Loom T-shirt per player on waiver (maximum 10 for 6's, 8 for 4's, and 4 for 2's), equipment, league administration, prizes for winners and specials at the sponsor bar.
Formats: Men's, women's, and co-ed leagues. 2 v. 2, 4 v. 4, and 6 v. 6. Recreational, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Competitive leagues. Scoring: 3 games to 21 (rally score)

Attention CSS patrons, "Lisa" was a socialogical test administered by an anonymous Chicagoland university's school of psychology designed to observe the influencial effects of images and representative genders utilized in an impersonal social community's environment (i.e. the CSS Internet Forum). The results of test's "Larry" (Impersonation of a young Male w/o picture) and "Lisa" (Impersonation of a young attractive female w/ picture) both seeking the same interests resulted in the following data: In the duration of 3 months "Larry" made 5 attempts to join a particular social/sporting event with zero requests for friends, one comment, and three messages. In the duration of 3 days "Lisa" made 1 attempt to join a particular social/sporting event with 10 requests for friends, 3 comments, and 9 messages (7male 2female). More information will be available once all of the data is compiled and a final debriefing is made, thank you all for your participation.
